These are the measurements that tell you whether this layer is healthy in production.
- Task completion and drop-off points (privacy-safe analytics).
- Accessibility regressions and usability bug rate.
- Client error rate and navigational dead ends (404s).
Failure modes
- Fragmented flows causing user confusion and support load.
- Accessibility issues blocking critical actions.
- Inconsistent terminology and IA drift.
Production readiness checklist
- Define a canonical navigation and naming system.
